What We’re About

The Sally Fitzgibbons Foundation is giving as many children as it can the opportunity at a healthy future.  We are starting by addressing the two key areas that parents and kids seem to have the most challenges with in modern day life, Nutrition and Exercise.

With most people being time poor and balancing family, friends, kids, work, school, sport, homework, screen time and everything in-between, quick fixes in nutrition and play time have become the norm and not the exception.

The Foundation aims to help parents and connect directly with kids to inspire our future generations to make healthy choices through fun and engaging programs that they can directly relate to.

Exercise

With sedentary behaviours related to the consumption of digital screen activities like television, mobile app and console based games, it is not surprising kids are no longer outdoors playing all day and naturally developing essential motor co-ordination skills.

The Sally Fitzgibbon Foundation has selected one simple piece of equipment that can help keep kids active for short periods of time every day and get maximum benefit whilst they are having a lot of fun. The Skipping Rope!

Skipping is a whole-body movement, proven to help attain balance, coordination, agility and cardiovascular strength. Regardless of their starting point, ability or fitness level, all kids will always benefit from a skipping session.

Our aim is to deliver as many skipping ropes, with cool and interactive training programs, into the hands of kids everywhere and inspire them to want to be the best version of themselves from a young age.

Nutritional Education

Realistically how many young family parents have the luxury of time to prepare wholesome meals three to four times a day, every day? Grabbing ready to go options, fast food meals or quick fixes that lack genuine nutritional benefits are major contributors to the long term, poor nutritional habits being ingrained into our kids today.

One in four kids are already overweight, it’s not only time to change what we put on the plates of our future generation but also to educate them as young as possible so they can make their own healthy choices for life.

The Sally Fitzgibbons Foundation is creating a range of activity books, collector’s cards, games and educational products that are filled with fun tasks that will create positive awareness and key learnings which kids can directly relate too.

We will be introducing our super hero fruit and vegetable characters like The Champ, Sharp Shooter, Daily Serve, Tuff Nut, Go Man Go, Power Lifter, Chop Chop and their friends. They take on all the villains of the nutritional world in an entertaining manner which will provoke kids to think about the benefits related to food choices they make in the future.
